Our comprehensive eye exam begins with a discussion of your symptoms, as well as complete medical history review. We will test your acuity both far and near, and eye coordination movement. An external examination will be performed to look for any abnormalities including the cornea, pupils and eyelids. The internal portion of your eye will be evaluated for eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration or for changes occurring as a result of diabetes or high risk medications. Digital photography will document any abnormalties and can be viewed by you along with the doctor. Dr Owens will perform an extensive refraction to determine your need for glasses , contact lenses or lasik corrective surgery. After this thorough examination the doctor will discuss with you the final diagnosis, your treatment options and answer any questions and address any concerns you may have.
